Urbium Capital Partners has completed its maiden transaction in Edinburgh for £32.2m. The asset was acquired from Investra with an unexpired FRI lease term of 16.5 years to Sainsbury’s Supermarkets Ltd.
Located on Inglis Green Road, south-west of the city centre, the prime food store asset occupies a 4.6 acre site comprising 86,000 square feet of lettable area, 12-pump petrol filling station and 393 car parking spaces. The purpose built food store is a hub for omnichannel fulfilment in Edinburgh, operating delivery and click & collect services.
The acquisition is part of Urbium Capital Partners’ strategy to build its defensive portfolio of well located core assets that target income as the principal driver of long term returns.
Lismore Real Estate Advisors sourced the opportunity off-market for Urbium and provided advice on the acquisition.
