Leading independent property advisory firm, Lismore Real Estate today announced that it had established a partnership with children’s mental health charity Place2Be.
Place2Be is a children’s mental health charity that provides counselling and mental health support and training across UK Schools. It has been active in Scotland since 2001, currently reaching over 14,000 pupils and their families in 45 schools across Edinburgh, Glasgow, Ayrshire, South Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire and Dundee.
Place2Be offers a range of different services to meet schools’ needs, including in-school mental health support, expert training and resources. The charity builds children and young people’s resilience through talking, creative work and play and also supports parents and school staff and help schools to be mentally healthy.
Lismore Director Colin Finlayson said:
“We place a strong emphasis on giving something back, by supporting charities and local communities. After much searching, we decided that we wanted to support Place2Be.
“It is such a worthwhile charity that provides fantastic support to children in schools right across the UK and is also particularly active in Scotland. We look forward to supporting Place2Be and organising various fund-raising activities.”
Jacqui Segal, Director of Fundraising at Place2Be added:
“We are thrilled that Lismore has chosen us as their charity partner and we are looking forward to working with them over the next year and helping to spread the message about the importance of supporting children’s mental health.”
